May 2010

It's time to celebrate the release of Owen and the Dragon! I've been doing a blog tour this month hosted by several members of the Indie Debut 2010 group. Check out my blog or the Indie Debut site for details and interviews.

On the writing front, I'm working on two nonfiction projects - dragons and explorers of the new world. Both have summer deadlines, so the writing is starting to heat up. I also just finshed a writing audition for Working Partners and waiting to hear back on my audition sample. Fingers crossed - it looked like a fantastic project!

I'm also working on marketing - I've got some events lined up for June. Make sure to check my blog for the latest details!

March 2010

I'm working on developing my school visit presentations and figuring out my marketing plan for Amazing Africa and Owen and the Dragon. Finishing my chapter book manuscript is also on the schedule for this month. It's been a long, snowy winter here in PA, so I'm counting down the days until spring!

Looking forward to some snow melting!

September 2009

More exciting news! I've signed a contract for my first picture book, Samson's Story. I'll be working with a new publisher, Earth Day Publishing. This one is close to my heart because it is about childhood cancer and a portion of the book's proceeds will go to cancer-related charities.

On the nonfiction front, I just completed a new manuscript on George Washington. More details about that to come later, I'm very excited about this project. I've got three other projects that I'm currently working on, all of which are completely different and let me interview people that I would not have otherwise talked to. That's one of my favorite parts of the job!

Welcome fall!

July 2009

I'm excited to announce I've signed a contract for my first fiction book - a chapter book tentatively titled Owen and the Dragon. I'm excited to be working with my publisher, Soto Publishing, to bring this story to life. I've seen the cover art so far and it looks great. As I get more information on the expected release date and any other information I'll be sure to share!

Enjoy the summer!
